History

We are proud to share with you our more than 40 years of history. It all started in 1980, in the city of Caxias do Sul. A big dream, an employee and a used mechanical lathe were enough for businessman Mr. Nadir Pedro Rizzi taking his first steps in the workshop of the company Agrimar, at the time a manufacturer of stern for boats and gearboxes. As soon as Hidro Jet’s activities began, the manufacture of equipment for mining and the development of Dumpers also began.

But an unexpected flood shook the structures in the company’s first steps, and the little equipment that was there was destroyed. With very clear objectives and a long-term vision, Mr. Nadir Pedro Rizzi was never discouraged. He moved his small business to a basement, under a bocce court, to restart, no matter what the circumstances were.

In 1982, Hidro Jet acquired its own building in Santa Catarina’s neighbourhood, in Caxias do Sul city – where it remained for many years. The work began to bear fruit and, in 1986, the opportunity to invest in a foundry in Porto Alegre city, where today the company’s branch is located, arose.

At the time of mining, the market was booming, with very rapid growth, but at the same time a lot of risk, due to the precarious conditions of access to the mines. As reported by Mr. Nadir Pedro Rizzi, the precarious roads made the trips very long, lasting up to 29 days, and with little and difficult communication at that time, connections to the family were made a maximum of twice in the entire trip

In 1989, the first direct election for the Republic Presidency took place in Brazil.  Mr. Fernando Collor de Mello was elected, who took office in 1990. A radical transformation in Brazilian industry then began.

Always keeping an eye on changes in the market, Hidro Jet stopped producing for mining, which was suffering a big downturn. Thus, it entered the market for brake discs, and then, in 1991, it began its production in the electro-hardware market.

In 2003, Hidro Jet took an important step forward. In that year, the development of casting Hydraulic Bodies begins. This was a new segment for the company.

And, in 2007, an investment was made in the first Horizontal Machining Center. The center is intended for the machining of hydraulic bodies, adding even more value to the product.

These are stages of business affirmation. And that attest to Hidro Jet’s commitment to innovation and quality.

In 2005, Hidro Jet transferred its headquarters, then located in the city of Caxias do Sul. The new Machining and Galvanizing at hot-dip plant is now located in the city of Feliz. Also in Rio Grande do Sul state, the city is 80km far from the capital, Porto Alegre city.

In 2009, Hidro Jet inaugurated its new ColdBox Foundry. Located in its heardquartes, in the city of Feliz, RS, this foundry focuses on the Hydraulic segment.

Over more than four decades of history, Hidro Jet has consolidated itself in the energy, hydraulic, agricultural, automotive markets, among others.

This is because for the company quality worths.  With a portfolio that includes a line of its own products.

In addition, Hidro Jet maintains an excellent customer service.

Today, the company supplies products to the Brazilian market, but also exports to the international market.
